Veteran’s Day is a time to recognize U.S. veterans and service members for their service, valor and sacrifice.
Dozens of businesses across the U.S. show appreciation to veterans and active-duty military members on or around Nov. 11 with free or discounted meals or services each year.
We compiled a list of companies that offer discounts and freebies on Veterans day. Double-check with businesses in your area to make sure they are participating in the offer and what proof of service they require. Some businesses extend the discounts to family members as well.

- Applebees: All Veterans and Active Duty Military members receive a free entrée from a special menu.
- BJ’s Restaurants: Current and former military receive a complimentary meal from select menu and a Dr. Pepper beverage. Must present military ID or other proof of service. Valid for dine-in only on Veterans Day. Cannot be combined with any other offer or discount.
- Beef ‘O’ Brady’s: A free meal for Veterans with a purchase of equal or greater value up to $12 on Veterans Day. Proof of service required.
- Bob Evans: On Veterans’ Day, we’re honored to provide a comforting meal to veterans and active-duty military. On November 11, 2022 the restaurant will be offering a special menu of 10 homestyle favorites available to veterans and active duty military FREE* at their local Bob Evans Restaurant. Valid on Veteran’s Day, dine-in only.
- Bristol Bar and Grille: In observance of Veterans Day, the Bristol Bar and Grille is honoring and celebrating veterans. On Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, veterans receive FREE green chile wontons.
- Bubba’s 33: Annual Veterans Day tradition of free meals. Active, retried or former military members can choose between a classic cheeseburger, Bubba’s bacon burger, bacon chicken mac-n-cheese, grilled chicken salad or any 12-inch pizza plus a Coca-Cola product, sweet tea/ice tea or coffee during lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Buffalo Wild Wings Free Wings: All day on Veterans Day, Veterans and active-duty military who dine in or call for takeout can receive a free order of boneless wings and a side of fries. Online orders excluded. Participating locations only.
- California Pizza Kitchen: On Friday, November 11th, all Veterans and Active Military are invited to dine with us and receive a complimentary non-alcoholic beverage + choice of one entrée from our prix fixed menu.* Upsells and additions may not be included in the promo.
- Chick-fil-A: Some participating Chick-fil-A locations may offer specials or discounts. Check your local Chick-fil-A to confirm. Military identification required.
- Chili’s: Veterans and active-duty military personnel can choose a complimentary meal from a select menu on Veterans Day. Proof of service required.
- Cracker Barrell Old Country Store: Veterans Day Only. Get a slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake with purchase. Dine-in or online. Use code: VETSDAY22 at checkout.
- Denny’s: Veterans and active military personnel get a free “Build Your Own Grand Slam” from 5 a.m. to noon on Veteran’s Day. Dine-in only.
- Dunkin’ Donuts: On Veterans Day, all retired and active-duty military can enjoy a free donut of their choice at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide, no purchase necessary. Proof of service required.
- Famous Dave’s: On Veterans Day, all former and current military personnel will receive a free Georgia chopped pork sandwich and a side. Dine-in or to go.
- Frisch’s Big Boy: Veterans receive a FREE Frisch’s Big Boy sandwich. Dine in only at participating locations. The offer The offer is not available for drive-through or carry-out orders. Cannot be used with other offers or combo meal. All participating Frisch’s Big Boy locations in Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, Lexington and Louisville.
- Golden Corral: Golden Corral is proud to honor our nation’s heroes with a complimentary “thank you” meal on Monday, Nov. 14, in recognition of Veterans Day. All U.S. service members, retired military and veterans of each branch of service are invited to enjoy a free dinner buffet and beverage at their nearest Golden Corral from 5 p.m. to close.
- Hooters – Active-duty military and veterans get a free meal from the Hooters Veterans Day Menu with purchase of a beverage on Nov. 11. Dine-in only. Proof of service or military ID required.
- IHOP: One FREE stack of Red, White and Blueberry pancakes for veterans and active duty military on Friday, November 11, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dine-in only, 1 per guest. Military ID or proof of service required.
- Krispy Kreme Doughnuts: Veterans receive one free doughnut and a small coffee on November 11 at participating locations.
- McDonalds: Free breakfast combo meal for veterans and active military. Veterans can choose from any breakfast combo meal. All options come with any size soft drink, tea or hot coffee and a Hash Brown.
- Mission BBQ: Veterans and active duty military will receive a free sandwich on Veterans Day with proof of service.
- O’Charley’s: Veterans and active-duty military get a free meal when you dine in on Nov.11 at participating locations.
- Olive Garden: Veterans and active-duty service members get their choice of a free entree from a special menu that includes cheese ravioli, spaghetti and meatballs, fettuccine Alfredo and chicken parmigiana.
- Outback Steakhouse: Veterans, active-duty service members and spouses get a free Bloomin’ Onion with any Coca-Cola beverage for dine-in on Nov. 11.
- Red Lobster: In honor of Veterans Day, and to thank veterans, active-duty military and reservists for their service, Red Lobster is offering guests a free Walt’s Favorite Shrimp, Fries, and Coleslaw, featuring six hand-breaded, butterflied and lightly fried shrimp, served with cocktail sauce, as well as crispy French Fries and Coleslaw. The offer is available for dine-in and To Go orders placed in-restaurant between 11:00am and 4:00pm local time on November 11, 2022. Valid military ID or other proof of service to redeem offer.
- Red Robin: Free Red Robin Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries by showing proof of service at the nearest Red Robin anytime between November 1 and November 14. Must also be a member of the Red Robin Royalty Club. The offer is available for dine-in and takeout.
- Starbucks: Free tall (12-oz.) hot brewed or iced coffee for veterans, military service members and military spouses (at participating locations).
- Texas Roadhouse: Louisville-based Texas Roadhouse will hand out dinner vouchers at the stores’ parking lots on Nov. 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proof of service includes military or VA card, or discharge papers. Vouchers can be redeemed for one of 10 entrees including a 6-ounce sirloin and two made-from-scratch sides plus a choice of any Coca-Cola product, sweet tea/iced tea or coffee.
- White Castle: A free Combo Meal #1-#6 or Breakfast Combo Meal will be given to all veterans and active duty service members who dine at a participating White Castle restaurant. Valid on Nov 11 only. No purchase is necessary, but veterans and active duty personnel are requested to show a military ID.
- Wendy’s: Wendy’s nationwide are offering active military and veterans a free breakfast combo with valid military ID on Veterans Day. No purchase is necessary. Breakfast hours may vary by location.
- Zaxby’s: Veterans and current military get free boneless wings on Veterans Day. Participating locations only.

HAIR CUTS

- Great Clips – Veterans and active-duty service members can go into any U.S. Great Clips salon and get a free haircut on or a free haircut card for a future visit on Nov. 11. Non-military customers who get a haircut on Veterans Day at Great Clips salons will also have the opportunity to pay it forward. They can receive a free haircut card to give to an active service member or veteran they know as a way of saying thank you. The cards can be redeemed for a free haircut from Nov. 12 through Dec. 9, 2022.
- Sport Clips – Participating locations will provide free haircuts Nov. 11 to veterans and active-duty military members.
SHOPPING

- Bed Bath & Beyond – Veterans, active-duty military and their spouses can receive a 25% percent discount on in-store purchases until Nov. 11.
- Dollar General – Active-duty military, veterans and their immediate families can take 20% off their purchase between Nov. 10-13 after creating a Dollar General account.
- Food Lion – All active-duty military members & veterans can save 10% on their in-store shopping purchase total before taxes on Nov. 11 with a valid ID.
- Office Depot or Office Max – Veterans & active-duty military members can take 20% off regular-priced items in-store only on Nov. 11 with a valid ID.
- Publix – Veterans and their families can save 10% on groceries purchased in-store Nov. 11 with a valid ID.
- Rack Room Shoes – U.S. military personnel and their families can receive a 20% discount on in-store purchases on Nov. 11; every Tuesday, the military discount is 10%. A valid ID must be presented.
- Tractor Supply – Active and former military members and their dependents can get a 15% discount in stores on Nov. 11 with a valid ID.
